Who We Are

Where we meet:

Women’s Connect meets on Thursdays, 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm in the church office at Church of the Assumption. We open with prayer, followed by singing, Bible Study, and closing prayer. Our group has been active since Spring 2021.

Our Purpose

Our goal is to help all women in our parish develop a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus and foster stronger connections with one another. We seek peace in our lives and strive to sanctify our everyday experiences. Additionally, we reach out to those who are searching for God’s peace and love, inviting them into our loving community. Together, we can be strengthened by Wisdom, Fortitude, and Zeal.

How we pray

We pray aloud and separately for each other and people in our community and the world, sing together, and give thanks.

What we have studied

  • St. Mark’s Gospel – a study by N T Wright

  • St. Theresa of Avila’s Nine Grades of Prayer – by the Science of Sainthood

  • Introduction to the Psalms – by the Science of Sainthood, highlighting their structure and message for us today.

  • Brave and Beloved - an in-depth study of women of the Bible by Meredith Storrs, looking at all the leading women of the Bible, understanding their times and culture and the part they all played in God’s divine plan.

  • Transformed – the gift and challenge of the Eucharist – a Lenten study for small groups by the Evangelical Catholic.
