Who We Are

Where we meet:

Women’s Connect meets Thursdays, 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm in the church office at Church of the Assumption. We open with prayer, followed by singing, Bible Study, and closing prayer. Our group has been active since Spring 2021.

Our Purpose

We seek to draw all women in our parish into a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus and with each other.

To find peace in all our situations and to sanctify our ordinary lives.

To reach out to others who are searching for God’s peace and love and to draw them into a loving community, so that we may all be strengthened with Wisdom, Fortitude, and Zeal

How we pray

We pray aloud together and separately for each other and people in our community and the world, sing together and give thanks.

What we have studied

  • Introduction to the Psalms – by the Science of Sainthood, highlighting their structure and message for us today.

  • Brave and Beloved - an in-depth study of women of the Bible by Meredith Storrs, looking at all the leading women of the Bible, understanding their times and culture and the part they all played in God’s divine plan.

  • Transformed – the gift and challenge of the Eucharist – a Lenten study for small groups by the Evangelical Catholic.
